Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 6, 2026
This policy describes how Entangled Code ("we", "us") handles data collected through the Bell platform at bell.entangledcode.dev.
1. Who we are
Entangled Code is an independent research and software project operated by David Coldeira. Contact: [email protected]
2. What data we collect
- Account data: username, email address, hashed password
- Usage data: queries you submit to Bell and the responses generated
- Session data: a session token stored in your browser (30-day expiry)
We do not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, or third-party tracking data. We do not use cookies beyond the session token.
3. Why we collect it
Your data is processed to provide the Bell service you signed up for. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary for the performance of a contract.
Query logs are also used to improve Bell's accuracy and to fine-tune the underlying language model. This is covered by the same legal basis as an integral part of the service.
4. How long we keep it
Account data and query history are retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (queries, projects, messages) is permanently deleted within 24 hours.
5. Who we share it with
Your queries are sent to Anthropic (Claude API) to generate responses. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their privacy policy. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. To exercise these rights:
- Delete your account: contact [email protected] with your username
- Export or correct your data: email us and we will respond within 30 days
7. Security
Passwords are stored as salted hashes. All traffic is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). The server is hosted on Hetzner Cloud in the EU (Helsinki, Finland).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email to registered users.
